Two American and two Canadian entries for Women Golf at Rio

Golf is back to the Olympic Games for the first time since 1904. All competing countries have two women entries except the US which has three.

Canadians Alena Sharp and Brooke Henderson will represent their country at the Rio Games. Sharp, ranked 81st by Rolex ranking turned professional in 2003, before joining the LPGA Tour in 2005. She has been playing very well and has nine professional wins in her career.

Henderson, according to Rolex rankings, is ranked third in the world. She won her first championship during the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship in June this year. She has also won the LPGA Tour three times. She is a favorite in Rio considering that she has 11 top finishes in 20 events this year and that she won twice in June.
