Golf’s Grand Slam Won’t Be Returning To Trump's L.A. Club
Much has been said regarding Donald Trump’s unfortunate remarks about Mexican immigrants over the past few weeks, in fact, many companies have come out in public and have stated that they no longer want anything to do with him. The most common and public fallout that has resulted following his remarks was his show’s “The Apprentice” and “Miss U.S.A” and “Miss Universe” being canceled.
That said many different entities had already taken a stand when it comes to Donald Trump. Despite all that the golfing world has chosen to remain quite about the whole thing and as a result many people have been calling for the golfing world to also take measures. With that in mind and the fact that Trump plays a very important role in golf, the golfing world were caught in a little bit of dilemma and now they seem to have made up their mind as to where they will be leaning on.
According to the PGA, they happened to meet up with Trump before they announced what many had predicted for some time now and that is the fact that they are planning on hosting the Grand Slam of tennis somewhere else.
There are bound to be other fallout in golf especially come next year due to the fact that there are some events that have been forced to host their championship on Donald Trump’s courses due to the fact that the timing is just too tight.
